When should I put my garbage & recycling out?
We recommend putting your garbage and recycling out the night prior to pick up or before 6:00am the day of your pick up.
 
Do you pick up on holidays?
Yes! Please have your garbage and recycling out before 6:00am.
 
How can I pay my bill?

3 ways to pay.

  1. Mail the part of your bill which includes your account number along with your check payment to Nooksack Valley Disposal, PO Box 267, Lynden, WA 98264
  2. Stop by our office Mon - Fri 8 to 4 or Sats 9 to 12. Click Here for Map.

What should I do if my pick up is missed?
Give us a call at (360) 354-3400. When possible we will try to pick up your garbage and/or recycling the same day. However, in some circumstances, and depending on your location, you may need to wait until your next scheduled pick up.

You are also welcome to visit our self-service transfer station. We're located at 250 Birch Bay-Lynden Rd.(1/4 mile from the Guide). Click Here for Map
 
What if I have extra garbage or recyclables on my pick up day?
No problem! Please give a call prior to your pick up day and alert us to the amount you will be putting out. We'll do our best to accommodate you. In some cases, due to capacity limits, our trucks may not be able to collect all of your materials in one pick up. Give us a call for more information. (360) 354-3400.
 
How can I dispose of hazardous waste products like paint or solvents?
Due to the variety of waste that may be determined hazardous, please give us a call at our office (360) 354-3400. We can answer any questions you may have regarding paints, solvents, car batteries, oil, and more.
 
What happens if I lose my recycling bins?
Recycling bins are the property of Nooksack Valley Disposal & Recycling. If your bins are lost or stolen, there will be a replacement fee. Please call our office if you have additional questions (360) 354-3400
 
What kind of plastic containers can I recycle?
As a rule we can recycle anything with a bottle-like neck. Pet 1-7. Please clean, rinse, and flatten. If you have a large quantity call us. No hazardous waste - only food grade containers.
 
How do I dispose of appliances?

You have two options. Give us a call at (360) 354-3400 and ask about a special pick up, or bring your used appliance to our self service transfer station. Drop in hours are:

Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
Saturday 9 to 12.

Can I recycle scrap metal?
Yes! You can drop scrap metal off at our self services transfer station. If you have a large quantity and need a roll-off container (25yd box) please give us a call. (360) 354-3400.
